Tom S says...I met Monty in 1977 and had him make this guitar for me. The construction took about 4 months and I watched many of the stages it went through frrom a piece of laminated wood into the neck and the body shape and inlays etc. Inlays pattern was my design, realized by my (ex)wife, ho was an artist and Monty took it from there. All Mahogany for warmth with Spruce top, fan bracing for projection and custom hand/heel stops and triple scroll peghead. I have had this 42 years now , written dozens of songs, played it live many gigs and it still sounds better than many guitars in the market. Cost me only $1200 then, but would likely be in the $7-10K price range these days. Monty was truly a master luthier and humble person. I wish he was still with us so I could have him tweak it a little.
